DRT is the mountain bike line for CO-OP cycles. While working for REI, I was in charge of the redesign and development of the DRT lineup, consisting of three new full-suspension models; two acoustic bikes and one electric. This was a chance for me to push the boundaries of the CO-OP higher-end bikes; we wanted to bring the bikes to a higher standard and become relevant in the mountain bike world. While pushing the performance we also needed to keep the bikes looking like they belonged in the same family. That was the main challenge.
