Glovebox
REI, CO-OP Cycles
This was a project for REI’s CO-OP cycles team. After presenting our new model year of bikes I was tasked with the design and engineering of the glove box storage system; a system to be mounted on the two high-end full-suspension mountain bikes.
Iteration and Prototyping
The Solution
We had a unique challenge with this project. The glove box is not a new idea but had not been done often on alloy frames. We wanted the solution to be simple and elegant. We didn’t want to have too many moving pieces or extra parts that need to be attached to the frame post. We went through many iterations and models to land on an optimal solution.

We made a hole in the bike, but we needed a system to hold those things we’d like to store
