Studio MOM
The objective was to use the inherent properties of mycelium, such as its ability to grow quicker in a variety of shapes, its light weight, resistance to heat, and the ability to biodegrade quickly and turn it into portable shelters for natural disaster victims and refugees.
Test it
In the test lab I experimented with pre-made mycelium substrates, as well as trying to produce our own. We researched and experimented with different substances to grow mycelium, as well as how to create our own culture from a spore sample.
